چکیده
Recent results on the X–ray spectrum and variability of Seyfert 1 galaxies are reviewed. New spectral results from BeppoSAX observations are also presented and briefly discussed.

We report the results of two Chandra ACIS-S observations from February and August 2003 of the highly X-ray variable Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 galaxy RX J2217.9–5941. Observations spanning the time from the ROSAT All Sky Survey (RASS) through an ASCA observation in 1998 indicate apparently monotonically decreasing flux by a factor of 30. The Chandra observations reveal increased emission over that s...

We discuss a model of the central source in Seyfert 1 galaxy NGC 5548. The model assumes a three phase disk structure consisting of a cold outer disk, a hot central disk constituting a Comptonizing X/γ source, and an intermediate unstable and complex phase emitting a soft excess component. The model qualitatively explains broad-band spectrum and variability behavior assuming that the soft exces...

We here report results of an INTEGRAL observation of the X–ray burst and atoll source Ser X-1 performed on May 2003. The object was observed for a total of 400 ks but nearly 8 • off-axis due to the amalgamation with an observation of SS 433, the pointing target source. Ser X-1 was detected up to 30 keV with unprecedented posi-tional accuracy for a high-energy emission; a sharp spectral drop is ...

The Seyfert 2 galaxy Mrk 1210 was found to exhibit a flat hard X-ray component by ASCA, although ASCA could not distinguish whether it is an absorbed direct component or a reflected one. We then observed Mrk 1210 with BeppoSAX, and found that the X-ray spectral properties are quite different from those of ASCA, as have been confirmed with XMM-Newton; the flux is significantly higher than that i...
